AHRQ guide provides ways to support equity through digital health care technology | AHA News – American Hospital Association

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality recently released a guide to help health systems and other stakeholders assess and advance equity in health care solutions that involve digital technologies. “Considerations ranging from a lack of patient digital literacy to a lack of broadband access, collectively referred to as the ‘digital divide,’ may impact the viability of healthcare solutions that involve digital technologies and tools,” the guide notes. “Addressing the ‘digital divide’ and its impact on the health of individuals and communities requires an approach that intentionally considers equity throughout the lifecycle of digital healthcare solutions.”
