EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Technology was top-of-mind today at the BRAIN Conference.
The Brain Research Awareness Integration Network, or BRAIN, held its annual conference at the Florian Gardens.
The conference is a gathering of health professionals who are interested in children and their future.
This year’s conference was titled “Impact of Technology on the Brain: Promoting Technology Mindfulness.”
“Social media use can become chronic in all cases. When you use social media a lot during the day, it produces stress in the body as well, and the longer you will expose yourself to social media during the day, the stress increases,” said John Wagner, President of the BRAIN Team.
He also said extra stress during childhood can stunt mental growth and lead to mental health issues later in life.
