Yasir Anwar Named Chief Technology Officer At Inspire Brands – Forbes

Dunkin is among Inspire Brands’ portfolio of restaurant brands
Inspire Brands, the restaurant holding company that includes Dunkin’, Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and Baskin-Robbins, among others, has named Yasir Anwar its next Chief Technology Officer.
He started Monday, reporting to Co-Founder and CEO Paul Brown. He also joins the company’s management committee.

Anwar brings more than two decades of technology leadership experience to Inspire, which counts more than $30 billion in digital sales across its restaurant portfolio. He most recently was Chief Technology and Digital Officer for retailer Williams-Sonoma. He also served as CTO at Macy’s and held technology leadership roles at Walmart and Wells Fargo.
At Inspire, he will oversee product and data engineering, technology operations, architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and infrastructure and development operations.
“I am thrilled to join Inspire Brands at such an exciting time for the organization and add to the incredible work the technology teams have already accomplished,” Anwar said. “Driving the technology strategy for six iconic brands is a dynamic opportunity that I am excited to tackle.”
Anwar succeeds Raghu Sagi, who recently joined apparel firm Carter’s as Chief Information and Technology Officer.
In a statement, Brown said Inspire is committed to building shared technology capabilities across the brand portfolio as the company seeks to inject more data-driven insights and improve the digital experience for guests and franchisees.
Inspire is owned by private equity firm Roark Capital Group.
